This watermelon Feta Salad with a twist is one of my favourite summer recipe of all time and am sure for many too.

Watermelon and feta salad is a simple yet refreshingly vibrant salad originally from Greece and this recipe is a little perked up version, I have used the most magical ingredient which almost makes anything taste better. I call it the indian version to Mexican tan.

How to eat

This watermelon feta salad with the indian twist tastes best when served cold.

Ingredients required

  1. 1 quarter water melon
  2. 2 – 3 cubes Feta cheese 
  3. salt (To taste)
  4. 1 tbsp olive oil
  5. Chaat Masala  – 1 tsp 
  6. 1 tsp Black Pepper 
  7. 10-12 leaves fresh Mint leaves or basil leaves

Prep work before you begin

Dice the water melon into bite sized cubes.

Alternative Versions

for dairy free alternative replace feta cheese with Tofu feta, feel free to replace mint leaves with basil leaves.

Pictorial recipe

Cube watermelon into tiny cubes (remove all seeds), add it to a bowl,

add finely shredded mint leaves or basil leaves to it. Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper to taste.

Crumble Feta cheese over itThe final ingredient (the Indian twist part) is chaat masala … add a generous sprinkle of it and you are good to go !

  • 1 quarter water melon
