Eral Thokku / Prawns thokku

Prawns or shrimps are one of the best seafoods available and its sure my family’s favourite. Am so happy to have finally put this recipe up as its my go to prawn recipe, not to forget my husbands favorite !! He would polish the bowl that i serve it in.
After moving to Japan I saw that the prawns/shrimps can be so different in size and taste too. The onces i cook with in japan are so much bigger in size compared to the ones I used to cook in india. I wonder if the waters have something to do with the taste and the quality of the prawns.

Now let me tell you why I love this recipe a lot and often my first choice if I have to cook prawns, because it uses very basic kitchen ingredients that are always available and so the original flavor of this wonderful seafood is not lost in too much aromatics. I think this recipe is great for bachelor nights. Now, Lets see how to make it.
